HARRISBURG, Pa.- Speaker of the House John Perzel has appointed Sean M. Reilly, Esquire to the State Transportation Advisory Committee, a body established by Act 120 of the 1970 Session of the Legislature to work together with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to research and study key transportation issues affecting the Commonwealth.
“I am pleased to announce the appointment of Sean Reilly to the State Transportation Advisory Committee,” said the Speaker. “My staff and I have worked with Sean on transportation issues in the past, and I feel that his experience and expertise will be an invaluable asset to the Committee.”
The State Transportation Advisory Committee meets on the first Monday in February of each year and holds at least three additional meetings during the calendar year. It shall have the power and its duty shall be to consult with and advise the State Transportation Commission and the Secretary of Transportation on behalf of all the transportation modes of the Commonwealth. The State Transportation Advisory Committee aids and assists the State Transportation Commission and the Secretary of Transportation in the determination of goals and the allocation of available resources among and between the alternative modes in the planning, development and maintenance of programs and technologies for transportation systems and advises the several modes on the planning, programs and goals of the department and the State Transportation Commission.
Mr. Reilly is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Roscommon International, Inc. Mr. Reilly’s career has included tenure in the political, legal and corporate communities.
